Periods shouldn’t hold people back from the wild.

I’m your go-to gal for menstrual cycle education and communication for outdoor groups, guides, and nonprofits.

I’ll shamelessly admit it: I’m a period nerd.

At first, people thought I was nuts. Now, I’m proud to say that strangers and friends alike regularly send me news links and Instagram Reels about anything remotely at the intersection of periods and the outdoors. I’m that girl.

I now build custom communication materials and training to support menstruators—and the people who lead them—through every phase of the cycle, in any outdoor environment.

Talking about periods is still taboo in many outdoor programs. But if we want all people to feel safe and supported on trail, we need to go beyond vague packing lists and whispered tips.

Through years of working with organizations like The Mountaineers and the Girl Scouts, and with my pro training as a fertility awareness educator, I’ve helped guides, nonprofits, and volunteer-based groups create practical, inclusive, cycle-informed resources for their communities.

From what to pack to how to talk about it, I help you communicate clearly and compassionately around menstrual health in the wild.

What We Can Create Together

Custom Materials Tailored to your brand voice, outdoor environment, audience, and trip format

  • Pre-trip emails that set expectations and reduce awkwardness

  • Packing lists and printable guides (including Leave No Trace-friendly waste disposal tips)

  • Blog posts or public education pieces to build trust and visibility

  • Guide/volunteer manuals or talking points

  • Scripts and modules for your internal trainings or courses

  • Live virtual or in person trainings and workshops

Live or recorded training sessions

Education that equips your leaders with the tools to:

  • Understand the full menstrual cycle and its relevance to outdoor activity

  • Know the pros and cons of period products for different environments and activities

  • Talk about it clearly, respectfully, and without shame

  • Support menstruators in both frontcountry and remote settings (even if they don’t get periods themselves)

  • Model inclusive allyship as a non-menstruator

  • Normalize conversations that make a difference for safety and belonging

It’s not just a period.

These materials go beyond "how to handle your period."

We cover the entire menstrual cycle, including how hormonal shifts affect mood, energy, appetite, and performance—and how your team can help participants feel more at home in their own bodies while outdoors.

This is for your group if...

  • Your members, volunteers, or customers are asking period questions but you don’t feel fully confident in answering them

  • You have a goal to be more welcoming and inclusive to different sexes

  • Your non-menstruating members want to develop leadership skills

  • You operate group trips or outdoor programming for youth or adults

  • You want to train your team to support menstruators effectively

  • You care about building inclusive outdoor spaces on trail, not just on paper

  • You believe menstruators deserve more than “hope for the best” guidance

Great outdoor leaders help people feel physically and emotionally safe. That covers menstruation.
